Papayou Overview

Papayou is a gorgeous restaurant in the old town of Nice, offering the best traditional Nicoise cuisine in town. Papayou isn't just limited to local cuisine, they also have a strong asian influence in their cooking.

With its modern decor and relaxed atmosphere, seating indoors and out, you will find your meal an experience you will not forget in a hurry.

The restaurant is closed between November and January when the couple who own and run the restaurant travel throughout Asia finding new dishes to influence their menu.

Fridays are popular in the restaurant when a local poached fish dish is served with roasted vegetables and aioli. Another local favourite is Burratine, a wrapped mozzarella filled with creme fraiche and served with salad and fruit. The stir-fried beef is also very popular and you can ask them to add extra chilli if you like it hot hot!

A great restaurant with a wonderful, friendly atmosphere, Papayou is a good choice day or night.

Love at first sight / taste !

I love French cuisine and I am normally not fond of crossover restaurants. But Papayou just did it! Whatever I choose on the menu, French or Asian, it tasts very, very delicious. Today, I had the chicken / poulet in cocomilk with rice, superb ! Once a year, I bring my old mother down to this wonderful area, though she eats like a bird, and normally very traditional food, she always has to visit the nice couple at Papayou. She ( and I ) also appreciate the simple, but smart decoration details. - Have a nice stay in Thailand, see you both in April, May or June! With kind regards Lasse Gullerud, Oslo, Norway.
