Dined at Delhi Belhi couple of weeks back. Truly amazing food - I asked them to make it a bit spicier than normal, and it felt so good on a cold night to have a hot, spicy chicken and lamb straight from the tandoor! The owners really do take pride in their food, and it shows. Thank you guys for pointing me to this gem! I will definitely tell all my friends to seriously consider eating here when they are in Nice.
I visited Nice on business for 2 weeks. I ate at many different Indian restaurants while I was there - you would be surprised how many Indian restaurants there are in Nice - I did not expect so many. I am from north India and can say without doubt that Delhi Belhi was the only Indian restaurant in Nice and surrounding cities that had food that truly tasted like Indian food (at least from the part of India I am from). I even got extra take-away food once to eat for lunch the next day. I would give it 5 stars, but am settling for 4 because they are only open for Dinner. They also have a better location than most other Indian restaurants in that they are close to all the action in old town and also to the famous Promenade des Anglais - very centrally located.
Great Reataurant in Nice, France. If you visit the riviera or provence, and happen to be in the nice or monaco neighbourhood, don't miss a chance to savor one of the jewels of indian cuisine hidden behind the popular cours saleya, in old town. Family owned and operated - means you get the absolute best quality - both food and service. As an added bonus, they speak English and German as well - so it works out great even if you are a foreign tourist! The menu cards are only in French, though that is not a problem as they will happily explain every item on the menu.
